Te Pōkaitahi Reo Level 6
Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki) (Te Kaupae 6)
Total immersion reo Māori course for advanced Māori language learning.
This full immersion level 6 programme is intended for competent speakers of te reo who have a desire to contribute positively to the development of te reo kia tika, kia rere, kia Māori, or who have a personal and/or professional interest in te reo Māori.
Graduates will be able to communicate independently with spontaneity and precision to articulate ideas and theories on a range of topics in whānau, marae, professional and/or academic contexts; and will also be able to research te reo related topics.
Learners will study the following:
- Use technical skills in te reo at an advanced level to communicate and express ideas across a wide range of contexts
- Use advanced language and expressions in te reo to show a broad understanding of their connections to the land and the environment, prominent places, people, histories, stories, and local proverb.

- Te ruku me ngā pūkenga mārehe.
REO602 Mana Whenua 6
Course Type: Core
Description: Mā tēnei pepa ka kawe i te teiteitanga o te reo me ngā kīanga, i ōna wā e tika ana, kia pai ai te whakaatu i te whānui o te mōhio ki ōna hononga ki te whenua me te taiao, ki ngā wāhi, ki ngā tāngata, ki ngā tāhuhu kōrero me ngā pūrākau rongonui, tae atu ki ngā pēpeha me ngā kīwaha o te rohe i te whānuitanga o ngā horopaki e taunga nei te tauira, o ngā horopaki hoki e tauhou ana ki a ia, hei whakaputanga i te mana whenua. Ko ngā kaupapa ako o tēnei kōwae ako ko:
- Ngā oro o te reo Māori.
- Te rere o te teiteitanga o te reo.
- Te mita o te reo.
- Ngā kōrero pūrākau, pepeha, kīwaha, kīanga rongonui o te horopaki.
- Ngā tātai whakapapa o te iwi me ngā hononga o te iwi ki te whenua me te taiao.

Description: Mā tēnei pepa ka whakamahi i ngā pūkenga rehe ki tōna taumata tiketike, kia pai ai tana tū takitahi ki te whakawhiti kōrero me te whakamahi i te reo kia auaha ai i ngā horopaki e taunga nei ia, i ētahi horopaki hoki kāore e pērā rawa ana tana taunga, ā, ki te whakatairanga anō hoki i te whakamahinga me te whanaketanga o te reo ma roto atu i tana whakaaronui ki te mana o te reo, hei tohu i te mana reo. Ko ngā kaupapa ako o tēnei kōwae ako ko

- Te rere o te reo o te taumata tiketike.
- Te mita o te reo.
- Ngā pūkenga rehe ki tōna taumata tiketike (o ngā horopaki kua tohua).

Description: Mā tēnei pepa ka whai i ngā tikanga e tū takitahi ai, e tū kaha ai hoki te tauira ki te ārahi i te mahi me te tangata i te whānuitanga o ngā horopaki kua tohua, i ētahi horopaki hoki e tauhou ana ki a ia mā roto atu i ngā mātāpono hei tohu i te mana ao tūroa. Ko ngā kaupapa ako o tēnei kōwae ako ko:
- Ngā oro o te reo Māori.
- Te rere o te reo tiketike.
- Te mita o te reo.
- Ngā tikanga o te reo.
- Ngā tikanga o te ao tūroa nei.
- Ngā mahi ārahi i ngā horopaki rerekē (whānau, mahi/kura, hapori).
- Ngā kupu o te horopaki (whānau, mahi/kura, hapori).
