Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution, which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates, across a range of disciplines.  

 

We are seeking four Programme Coordinators – Teaching & Learning who will each lead a team of lecturers delivering either Te Pōkaitahi Reo – Kaupae 3 and/or Te Pōkaitahi Reo L1-L6 in a specific area.  A key responsibility will be to champion and mentor Lecturers to provide quality teaching and learning experiences for their students.  You will also monitor and report on compliance with NZQA programme approval requirements.

Our successful applicants will have:

 

  • A minimum of a degree in Te Reo Māori, Masters in Te Reo preferred.
  • Tertiary teaching experience and a teaching qualification, preferably adult teaching.
  • At least two years’ experience supervising staff.
  • Experience delivering, assessing, moderating, and monitoring Te Reo Māori papers and programmes.
  • Online delivery experience and a skilled user of IT tools and technology for teaching and learning.
  • Fluency in Te Reo Māori and a comprehensive understanding of Tīkanga Māori in teaching and learning environments including classroom, face-to-face, online, marae based, and/or delivering Te Reo Māori within corporate/business sector work environments.  
  • A full clean driver’s licence.
