Before enrolling in the degree programme, a tauira must:

(a) be at least 17 years of age at the commencement of the programme; and

(b) have completed National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3, or

(c) have graduated from an NZQA approved Level 4 certificate or above: or

(d) be granted Special Admission, where a tauira is over the age of 20 years at the commencement of the programme; and,

  1. can provide sufficient evidence of work experience, skill, education, background knowledge, commitment and support to successfully undertake the programme of study; and,
  2. provide a portfolio of evidence to support their application.

 

Note: Special admission applicants may be required to successfully complete a bridging or tertiary introductory programme as a condition of entry into higher level programmes.

(e) Demonstrate literacy and numeracy capability to enable them to participate in the degree.

(f) Demonstrate a working knowledge and have adequate skills needed to operate software products such as operating systems, software applications, or an automated web design tool, or show a willingness to learn these skills.

(g) Have access to the internet or WIFI to enable access and participation with online learning activities and assessments.
