Applications are now open for Graduation and will close at 5pm on Friday 26 April.   

All eligible graduands will be notified by email by 5 April.

All eligible graduands, both those attending in person and those wishing to graduate in absentia (receive their award via post) must apply in order to receive their qualification certificates. 

Please ensure your contact details are correct with us to ensure you receive any relevant information and keep following our website and Facebook page for any updates.

Apply to Graduate

You will need the following information to complete this form:

  • Your person code (this can be found a the top of your invitation email)
  • Name of the qualification you are graduating from (please select your highest/latest if graduating from multiple qualifications)
  • Measurements in centimetres (cms) for your height, chest width (distance between shoulders), and head circumference (PhD, Masters, and undergraduate degree graduands only)

Graduating with a PhD, Masters, or undergraduate degree will cost $50. If you are graduating with a certificate the cost is $25.

Reminders:

Registration of attendance for those attending the ceremony in person

Once your application to graduate has been accepted it is very important that you register your arrival at the Whakatāne campus during Graduation week. Here you will pick up your gown/regalia and kai wristbands.

 

Upon arrival at the registration desk, we will check:

  • your name and iwi affiliations.
  • the name of the programme you are graduating from;
  • if you have ordered and paid for your regalia (gown);
  • that you have no outstanding fees or overdue library books; and
  • invite you to complete a brief programme/graduate destination survey

 

Registrations close at 7pm on Thursday 9 May.

 

Graduating in absentia
  • If you wish to graduate in absentia and receive your certificate in the mail, you will still need to complete an application.
  • You will be posted your certificate following the graduation ceremony.
  • You must ensure your address details are correct as your certificate will be mailed to the address you provided at the time of enrolment. If your address details need updating, please contact us.
