Available: Limited to 3 Applicants. 

2 are available to PHD applicants and 1 is available for a Professional Doctorate applicant.

 

Value:

Valued at $15,000 each including GST. This scholarship will be credited towards paying the full fees, administration fee & Student ID card of the successful applicant’s final year of study and credited directly into their fees account. The remaining funds will be credited to their verified bank account upon:

  1. Approval of scholarship
  2. Submission of required research documentation

 

Closing Date: 28 February 2019 by 4:30pm

 

Purpose of Award

The purpose of the award is to support tauira enrolled in a Doctoral level programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi and have been enrolled for a minimum of 2 years full time equivalent.

 

Eligibility

Candidates for the scholarship must be;

  • enrolled full-time in a Doctoral degree programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi; and
  • a New Zealand citizen; or a New Zealand permanent resident currently living in New Zealand 

 

Criteria:

Recipients are to be selected on the following criteria:

  • Full-time enrolment in a doctoral degree programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi by 28 February 2019.
  • Provision of previous academic results which may include results from other tertiary programmes in relevant Bachelor and Masters Degrees.
  • Provision of a copy of the approved doctoral research proposal.
  • Provision of a Doctoral Research Committee and ethics approval letter.
  • Provision of a supporting letter from applicant’s supervisor.

 

Supporting Documentation
  • Applicants verified bank account details (for the two milestone funds that must be signed by your Supervisor and approved by the Head of School)
  • Two milestone Reports completed by your supervisor
