Scholarship Conditions

2019 Scholarship Conditions
 
 
 

The following conditions will apply to all scholarships:

  • Scholarships are only available to applicants who are enrolled full time and accepted as a tauira at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi for 2019. Full time is defined as studying more than 0.8 EFTS on a 32 week course or the equivalency as defined by Studylink.
  • Scholarship funds must be taken up in the year it was applied for. Scholarship funds or any part of the funds granted, cannot be carried over or paid out in any following years.
  • Scholarship funds can only be used for the purpose in which it was granted for and will be allocated accordingly. Any changes to this must be put in writing to:

  • If a scholarship is declined by a recipient, or if a recipient has not confirmed enrolment by 28 February 2019, then Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi may offer the scholarship to another applicant.
  • Tauira who withdraw from the designated programme with academic results (after 10% of the programme has been completed) or, puts the organisation at risk or disrepute, must repay this scholarship to Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi.
  • All scholarship applications are to be made on the 2019 Scholarship Application Form in Appendix I unless specified.
  • Inaccurate and incomplete applications will not be considered and returned to the applicant by email or post.
  • Late applications will not be accepted unless a new date or time has been officially advertised by the Registrar. Late applications will be returned by email or post.
  • TeachNZ scholarship recipients are not eligible for scholarships offered by Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. If you are granted a TeachNZ scholarship and issued a Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi scholarship, you must repay this scholarship to Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi.

  • Scholarships can only be confirmed by the Academic Standards Committee of Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome in writing by the Enrolment Manager.
