Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates across a range of disciplines.
Are you an educationalist with a passion for programme writing? If so we are looking for that “one of a kind” Programme Developer who can help us shift up a gear by undertaking all aspects of new programme development including consultation with stakeholders, researching and writing curriculum for new programmes, through to ensuring all documentation is up to the standards required by NZQA and TEC for new programme approval. You will also have a key role in assisting Schools with changes, redevelopments, reviews, accreditations and monitoring of current programmes, in order to ensure all documentation is updated and continues to meet quality assurance requirements
As a part of the academic registry staff team you will contribute to the planning, researching, writing and compliance requirements associated with programme development and re-development projects.
Our successful applicant will have:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in education or related field.
- A teaching qualification.
- Tertiary teaching experience.
- Experience writing curriculum for new and/or re-developed programmes in the tertiary sector.
- Proven experience of self-evaluation, monitoring and Quality Management systems.
- Project management experience.
- Proven written and needs analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A full clean driver’s licence
The ability to co-ordinate diverse work programmes is necessary. Knowledge of tikanga Māori and the ability to korero Te Reo Māori to at least an intermediate level of competency are desirable.
