Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates across a range of disciplines. 

As the Manager – Learner Success, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support learners’ success across Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi.  The role requires the successful applicant to work closely with academic Staff, support services, and other stakeholders to ensure that learners receive the support they need to achieve their educational goals.

The ability to influence people, build strong communities of practice, and quickly understand our organisation and culture are what will help us move towards an improved learner journey.

Our successful applicants will have:

  • PhD
  • 5 years experience in a tertiary environment focusing on quality through improved professional practice.
  • Experience implementing pedagogical approaches to build competency and capability within an academic workforce.
  • Experience implementing online teaching and learning processes and understanding what works well for learners.
  • Experience and understanding of quality improvement.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point applications effectively to an advanced level.

Experience in the Wānanga education sector, the ability to korero te reo Māori and a practicing knowledge of Tikanga Māori are also desirable.
