We realise many of our tauira and kaimahi studying and working online now also have tamariki and mokopuna at home, who are in turn also having to do their schooling online. This can bring some challenges.
Senior Lecturer Rosina Taniwha from our Te Tohu Paetahi Ako: Bachelor of Education (Teaching) programme, shares some practical tips for parents and caregivers during this time.
We understand the current situation is not normal, and that for some, the home environment may not always be conducive to online learning and teaching, particularly with children at home. Programmes will demonstrate respect, care and support in these instances and will make provisions for continued teaching and learning as needed e.g. recordings of zoom classes and catch-up sessions.
We encourage whānau to watch!
