Education Update

Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi has changed the structure of its Education 3 year degree qualifications. From 1 January 2010, all students will be transitioned into the new degree. The new credit structure aligns Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi qualifications with the majority of other tertiary qualifications offered in New Zealand and facilitates credit transfer for students and provides increased flexibility for the content and structure of qualifications.

Students currently enrolled in the BMEd (Primary), and  BLgTchg (Early Years) will be fully transitioned into the BEd(Teaching) – Early Years, Primary commencing 2010.

To ensure 2009,  Year 1 and Year 2 students (and other previously enrolled students with incomplete programmes), are not disadvantaged by the changes, from the present programmes into the new degree in 2010,  we have developed transition regulations.

To find out how this restructure may affect your studies please this download Transition Regulations Document (PDF).
