The Certificate in Te Pouhono is a marae-based programme designed to revitalise te reo, kawa, āhuatanga Māori and tikanga Māori. The Certificate enables marae to bring together their members from around the country to recapture the knowledge of physical and spiritual wellbeing etched in the memory repositories of their whānau, hapū and iwi.
Available to marae throughout Aotearoa throughout the year with a range of papers to cover most topics that affect our hapū and marae (such as te reo, tikanga, Māori philosophy, waiata, mau rākau, karanga and whaikōrero, the arts), as well as an array of Science papers ranging from kaitiakitanga to the health of the streams and mahinga kai.
