The National Institute for Māori and Indigenous Performing Arts

Established in November 2012, the Institute focuses on the performing and literary arts as an expression of educational and cultural revitalisation. It builds on the success of the Bachelor of Māori Performing Arts (BMPA) at Awanuiārangi and the significance of kapa haka in the context of the kaupapa Māori self-development revolution.
