PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

This programme is intended for people who seek to be engaged in the management, leadership and administration of their marae communities. Graduates of this programme will be able to apply a broad range of management, leadership and administration skills to support their whānau, hapū, iwi and marae communities. You will also improve your knowledge, understanding and skills of how to participate in the cultural, social and economic development of marae communities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry is open to applicants who meet the following requirements:

Additional Qualifications:

In addition to meeting admission requirements, applicants must meet the following requirements to gain entry into the programme:

  • Have a desire to develop and empower marae communities; and
  • Show a willingness to learn in the specific programme area; and
  • Able to provide evidence that satisfies Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi that you are capable of studying at this level, and have a reasonable chance of successfully completing each kōwae ako attempted
