Student Services

Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi offers a comprehensive range of subjects, from Undergraduate certificates and degrees to Master and Doctorate level. Whether you are a school leaver or a mature student and you want to study part-time or full-time, during the day, at night or in the weekends, the Student Services team can assist you the right programme choice.

The Student Services team can also assist you with information about:

It doesn’t matter if you are a prospective student and don’t know where to start, or a current student needing advice - staff are available to help.

Once you are enrolled, Student Services can help if you have questions about:

  • Withdrawal or change of course
  • Academic transcripts or results

Library & Information Services

Awanuiārangi provides library and information services to support your research and learning needs as a student and to enrich your studying experience. Our high-quality information services are fast and efficient, and cover broad areas of knowledge and information environments.

Computer Facilities

Students have access to computer facilities at the Whakatāne campus and Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) site. Students will be assigned a username and password for eWānanga LMS by their course administrator which will enable access to online courses, resources and related course material.

The software needed to complete assignments and course-work is found on all workstations. Printers are available; students should supply their own paper.

Financial Support

The Student Services team can help you find financial support through grants, scholarships, and StudyLink loans and allowances.

StudyLink is a service of the Ministry of Social Development. It administers student loans and allowances as well as other forms of financial assistance for students. To help you plan your finances use the tools, calculators and information on the StudyLink website.

Spirituality

Students of all religious and cultural beliefs are welcome at Awanuiārangi. There are several places of worship available near our campuses. To find out more, talk to one of our Student Services team or contact your local information centre.

Childcare

Juggling your study with children can be challenging. There are many early childhood centres on and near our campuses offering placements to children aged from three months to five years. To find out more, talk to one of our Student Services team or contact your local information centre.

Transport and Parking

Awanuiārangi provides parking for students at our campus and sites. As a student you could also be eligible for discounted travel on shuttle buses and public transport. To find out more, talk to our Student Services team.
