Kei a Tātou te Ihi (KATTI) was created and developed in 2001 as a pan-organisation Māori initiative aimed at supporting Māori secondary school students in Auckland with Careers and Transition Education in order to encourage students to complete schooling to Year 13 and also to promote Tertiary study options.
Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi are active members of this collective with dedicated staff whom assist to facilitate KATTI programmes from Year 10 through to Year 13 secondary school levels.
The Year 13 Programme theme this year is ‘Whakaaro Nui – Great Ideas’ and is a celebration of Māori student achievement in Year 13 as well as a transition focussed programme as tauira approach the end of their secondary schooling and begin their journey into Tertiary education.
